Dear Mr. Thompson:

Enclosed are copies of correspondence with Prof. Tang Chih-sung of the Academia
Sinica in Beijing, regarding our invitation to him to visit the Computer Science Department
at Stanford University as a Visiting Scholar.

In addition to his visit to Stanford, Prof. Tang has been invited to a mathematical
conference in Colorado on August 3rd which he would like to attend.
We do not know if it is feasable, but we would appreciate it if his visa could
be processed as quickly as possible so that he may be able to attend the 
conference.
